<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for applying heat-treatment to a crankshaft with which for example, even in the case of being the crankshaft having complicated shape providing four counter weights, sufficient heat to the shoulder of No.2 journal part and No.4 journal part in the crankshaft, can be given from a high-frequency coil and the precision of tempering-treatment can be improved at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: When the crankshaft 10 provided with the four counter weights 12a is inserted, the high-frequency coil 21 set in the heat-treatment apparatus for crankshaft, is provided with shrink-diameter portions 21a, in which the diameter of high-frequency coils 21 is reduced to the inside, at the positions faced to connecting parts of the respective No.2 journal part 11b and No.4 journal part 11d of the crankshaft 10 with a No.2 arm 12β. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
