摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber which has an effective area larger than 100μm<SP>2</SP>at a wavelength of 1,550 nm and meets constraint of G.652 standard. <P>SOLUTION: The single-mode optical fiber includes: a central core (r<SB>1</SB>,Δn<SB>1</SB>); a first inner cladding (w<SB>2</SB>,Δn<SB>2</SB>); a second inner cladding (w<SB>3</SB>,Δn<SB>3</SB>); and an outer cladding. The optical fiber has an effective area of 100μm<SP>2</SP>or more at a wavelength of 1,550 nm. Further, the optical fiber has a cable cut-off wavelength less than 1,260 nm; a zero dispersion wavelength contained between 1,300 nm and 1,324 nm; and a wavelength dispersion slope less than 0.092 ps/nm<SP>2</SP>-km. The optical fiber has an effective area exceeding 100μm<SP>2</SP>, that compiles with the G.652 standard except specifications relating to the mode field diameter at a wavelength of 1,310 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
