<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character conversion program and character conversion device for allowing a computer to function as a character conversion means. <P>SOLUTION: A fixed dictionary 22 and a variable dictionary 23 store by association, a plurality of conversion character strings being conversion candidates with respect to an input character string, character string identification information by each one of the conversion character strings, and character string numbers to be respectively assigned to the conversion character strings. A CPU 14 outputs by sound the character string identification information corresponding to the conversion character strings with respect to the input character string inputted by a keyboard 2.
