PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing device with a synthetic aperture sonar capable of accurately imaging an object embedded into a submarine deposit layer. SOLUTION: Drawing performances, such as the luminance, contrast and position accuracy of the object, in an image after a synthetic aperture processing due to the submarine deposit layer, is improved by providing a time difference between the sound-wave propagation time of the submarine deposit layer and a sound wave propagation time without the submarine deposit layer as a correction of resampling of a sonar receiving signal or a curvature shape in the synthetic aperture processing. Furthermore, embedded objects are drawn accurately, even when there are full swings of ship body, by combining a swing correction means, such as, DPC and MEA with the means.
