QUASI WATER-REPELLENT MEMBER AND COATING METHOD

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quasi water-repellent member which controls the water contact angle of the surface of the member to the quasi water-repellency of 40-60° by coating with a particular photocatalyst. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The quasi water-repellent member is capable of controlling the water contact angle of the surface of the member (2) to the quasi water-repellency of 40-60° and further of maintaining the state of the quasi water-repellency for a long term by coating with the coating material so that the amount of coating becomes 5-40 g/m2 per unit area of titanium peroxide-silica fine particles using the coating material (1) containing the titanium peroxide-silica fine particles having the photocatalytic function.
