<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage control device for preventing processing of a host device from being excessively delayed, and for preventing stop of input/output processing from being frequently caused. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The storage control device 110 is connected to each of a storage unit 120 and a host device 130 including at least one storage device for storing data. The storage control device transmits an input/output instruction to instruct execution of input/output processing to the storage device in response to an input/output request from the host device. When not receiving processing completion notification since the input/output instruction is transmitted by the time a first standby time passes, the storage control device transmits time-out notification showing the effect to the host device. When not receiving the processing completion notification since the input/output instruction is transmitted by the time a second standby time longer than the first standby time passes, the storage control device transmits a processing stop instruction to instruct the stop of the input/output processing based on the input/output instruction to the storage device.
