<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device and an electronic appliance for improving deodorant effects. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The disk device includes: a case 112; a heating element 122 housed in the case 112; a phenol substrate 119 which is housed in the case 112 and has a circuit pattern electrically connected to the heating element 122 formed thereon; and an absorption member 130 which is housed in the case 112 and absorbs phenol emitted by the phenol substrate 119 by receiving heat from the heating element 122.
