摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lighting failure or malfunction of an illumination device even if the number of sensors becomes zero. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The illumination control system 1 is constructed of a plurality of illumination devices on which a sensor 2 to detect the situations of the surrounding is mounted and a signal line 4 to connect between the illumination devices. The illumination device 3 includes an illumination load 31, a lighting circuit 32 to light the illumination load 31, a connection 34 to connect the sensor 2 in free pulling out and insertion, and a communication unit 36 which communicates the detected value of the sensor 2 through the signal line 4. Furthermore, the illumination device 3 includes a control unit 30 to control the lighting circuit 32 according to the detected value of the sensor 2, and a decision unit 40 to determine whether the sensor 2 is normally operated. The communication unit 36 communicates the decision result of the decision unit 40. The control unit 30, when the number of sensors 2 operating normally is zero out of all illumination devices 3, controls the lighting circuit 32 and lights the illumination load 31 with a prescribed illuminance determined beforehand.
