PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft reduction guide roll segment in which the securance of frame rigidity to be required is possible even if being lightened and compacted. SOLUTION: In the soft reduction guide roll segment 10 having upper and lower frames 14, 15 holding the upper and lower rolls 12, 13 performing rolling reduction with the upper and lower sides of a moving slab 11 held so as to be rotatably, respectively, and fastening means 17 to 20 respectively provide on both the sides of the right and left before and behind the upper and lower frames 14, 15, and provided with connection shafts 16 connecting the upper and lower frames 14, 15, and in which the lower frame 15 is supported by the installment frames 22; the part directly below the lower frame 15 to be connected with the four connection shafts 16 is fixed to installation frames 22 via the first supporting members 31, respectively, and the part directly below the lower frame 15 fitted with the lower bearing 25 respectively supporting both the sides of the right and left of the lower roll 13 is supported by installation frames 22 via the second supporting members 28.
