PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance operability by reducing the load of user operation when a digital camera transfers the image data. SOLUTION: The communication device (100) which transmits data to an external device (200) includes: a communication means (104) for communicating with the external device, a detection means (109) for detecting a bottom surface of the housing of the communication device, and a control means (101) which controls the communication means to select the type of data to be transmitted to the external device according to the detection by the detection means and to transmit the selected type of data to the external device.
