<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an inclusion compound to safely and easily include atomic hydrogen. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A cage polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane is made to intervene under electric discharge so that atomic hydrogen is included in the cage polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane. The cage polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane is excited by electric discharge and hydrogen in the substituent group of the cage polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane is eliminated to give a hydrogen ion. It is considered that the hydrogen ion is permeated into the cage polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane, and recombined with an electron to give an inclusion compound including atomic hydrogen.
