A vehicle-mounted device (10) is provided with a storage device (11), external input unit (12), a speaker (13), an image display unit (17), a touch panel (18), a control unit (20), a DVD/CD drive (22), a GPS (23), a vehicle speed sensor (24), and a gyroscope (25), wherein the touch panel (18) is provided with a finger rest area (51) by which false operations by a finger or the hand of an operator caused by vibrations, etc., of a vehicle can be decreased, and input intended by the operator can be performed while the device is mounted in the vehicle. By touching the finger rest area, the operator stabilizes the hand used for input while touching the touch panel, and thereby, false inputs can be decreased, and the input intended by the operator can be easily performed.
