BALUN AND MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING APPARATUS

Provided is a technology of maintaining a function of effectively removing common mode noise even in the case where an unbalance of the characteristic impedance of a coaxial cable is generated and improving performance of a RF coil by means of a simple configuration in an MRI apparatus. In a circuit which configures a balun by being connected to the coaxial cable in parallel, a plurality of serial resonance circuits having different resonance frequencies are connected in parallel. The value of each element configuring each serial resonance circuit is adjusted such that the frequency with which the common mode noise of the whole balun is removed is between the resonance frequencies of the serial resonance circuits.
