<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical sheet having optical functions, particularly remarkably high light diffusion function, an angle changing function of light beam in the normal direction and its control function, and also to provide a backlight unit using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The optical sheet is provided with: a sheet-like base material the surface of which has light reflection property; and a plurality of light induction holes penetrating from the upper surface of the base material to the rear surface and having a light outgoing part formed on the upper surface side and a light incident part formed on the lower surface side. The area ratio (S<SB>1</SB>/S<SB>2</SB>) of the average area (S<SB>1</SB>) of the light outgoing part of the light induction hole to the average area (S<SB>2</SB>) of the light incident part is preferably≥1 to≤10,000, and the filling ratio of the light outgoing part is preferably≥70% to≤100%. The average thickness of the base material is preferably≥5μm to≤5 mm, and the average area (S<SB>1</SB>) of the light outgoing part is preferably≥25μm<SP>2</SP>to≤25 mm<SP>2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
