PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve A/D conversion accuracy by reducing the occurrence of bubbles in a thermometer code. SOLUTION: The A/D converter has a plurality of comparators C1-C7 for sampling each of a plurality of reference voltages and an analog input signal Ain at a sample time and compares them at a comparison time. The A/D converter is configured so as to detect bubbles in a thermometer code obtained from output signals O1-O7 of the plurality of comparators, and adjust the ratio of the sample time to the comparison time of the plurality of comparators to reduce the bubbles.
