PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver having an automatic offset calibration circuit that can minimize fluctuation of reference level of an A/D transducer during a period of receiving no burst signal. SOLUTION: The receiver operated by a single power source includes: an analog circuit that processes a received signal to output an analog signal; an A/D converter that converts the analog signal to a digital signal based on a reference level; a demodulating circuit that demodulates the digital signal; and an automatic offset calibration circuit that detects the center level of an A/D converted digital signal and carries out offset calibration to accord the center level of the detected digital signal with the center level of the reference level. The receiver carries out the offset calibration while a burst signal is being received, and stops offset calibration while the burst signal is not being received. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
