PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically select an OOB method or an In-band method. SOLUTION: A communication device has a first parameter setting function to set communication parameters using a first method, and a second parameter setting function to set communication parameters using a second method. In addition, the communication device has a request receiver which receives a request of parameter setting using the second parameter setting function, an acquisition part which obtains a configuration file necessary for the second parameter setting function when receiving the parameter setting request through the request receiver, a comparing part which compares information on the creation of the configuration file obtained by the acquisition part with use history information of the configuration file stored in a storage part, a selector which selects either of the first parameter setting function or the second parameter setting function based on the comparison result of the comparing part, and a setting part which sets parameters using the parameter setting function selected by the selector.
