A household appliance system comprises at least two household appliances (10) different from each other, each appliance (10) being connectable to at least one source of external resource (40, 41) required for operation thereof. Each appliance (10) has a moveable bearing structure (11, 12), particularly on wheels (13) or the like and the system comprises a connection unit (20) having a fixed bearing structure (21), prearranged for being installed in a household room (1) and for being connected to at least one source of an external resource (40). Each appliance (10) is selectively couplable, for the purpose of use thereof, to the connection unit (20), and the latter comprises means for setting the operation of said appliance (10).
