The gasifier (1) has a bottom shear reactor (19a) with a reactor shaft that is supplied with solid fuel through a fuel supply (17). The reactor shaft is installed in closed housings (7, 19c), and an air supply pipe (24) is led into a lower end (18) of the reactor shaft. A hot gas filter (8) is arranged in the closed housings. Filter cartridges of the gas filter are made of ceramic or sintered metal. An intermediate wall is arranged between the gas filter and the reactor shaft. The fuel supply includes a fuel compressor (16) that is in the form of a hydraulic press. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a power generation arrangement comprising a heat exchanger (2) a method for producing fuel gas from solid fuel.
