<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder capable of automatically correcting relative positional deviation of a recording head to a paper end detection sensor even if a conveyance position is deviated. <P>SOLUTION: The image recorder includes a conveyance mechanism that conveys a recording medium, and at least one recording unit that is constituted by disposing a nozzle train formed of a plurality of nozzles in a direction orthogonal to a conveying direction of the recording medium, and performs recording processing on the recording medium by ejecting ink from the plurality of nozzles. The image recorder includes a side end detection part that detects side end position and margin length of the recording medium, and a correction means that corrects the relative positional deviation of the recording unit to the side end detection part from the side end position read by the side end part when recording a test image whose margin length is known in advance by the recording unit, and the margin length of the recording medium obtained by reading the recording medium on which the test image has been recorded by the side end detection part again. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
