<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass run for automobile that is easy in manufacturing and prevents the generation of collision noise. <P>SOLUTION: The glass run 10 has straight line parts and corner parts. A glass run body of each of the straight line parts forms substantially a channel shape in cross section consisting of a vehicle outer sidewall 20, a vehicle inner sidewall 30, and a bottom wall 40. The bottom wall 40 is formed of a solid material, having a bottom wall center space 41, and formed divided into a vehicle outer bottom wall piece 42 and a vehicle inner bottom wall piece 43. The width of the bottom wall center space is formed to be less than the thickness of a door glass 5. A cushioning piece 44, formed of a sponge material, is formed on the inner surface and the outer surface of the bottom wall, integrally with the bottom wall. The cushioning piece 44 is constituted of: a bottom wall outer surface cushioning piece 45 formed on the outer surface of the bottom wall 40; a bottom wall inner surface cushioning piece 46 formed on the inner surface of the bottom wall; and a bottom wall connecting cushioning piece 47, filled in the bottom wall center space, connecting the bottom wall inner surface cushioning piece 46 and the bottom wall outer surface cushioning piece 45. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
