<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio-controlled timepiece applicable to a wrist watch, capable of improving reception performance, and suppressing minimally increase of a power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: This radio-controlled timepiece 1 includes a reception part 3A for receiving a standard radio wave, and a control part 47 for controlling the reception part 3A. The reception part 3A includes an amplifying circuit 32 for amplifying a reception signal of the standard radio wave, and a binary circuit 37 for acquiring time information by binarizing the amplified reception signal. The control part 47 sets an operation mode during reception of the reception part 3A and the control part 47 at a high-sensitivity reception mode for improving reception performance furthermore than a normal reception mode in a prescribed period set based on a time code of the standard radio wave, and sets the operation mode at the normal reception mode in other periods. Consequently, use of the high-sensitivity reception mode wherein a current consumption is increased can be suppressed minimally, and also increase of the current consumption can be suppressed minimally, while improving the reception performance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
