PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that although the conventional dimming method is designed so that a user does not perceive flickering in a low output of an LED, since the intensity of an LED whose output is changed is large at the start of changing the output of the LED, during which humans easily perceive the flickering, the perception of flickering by a user is not still eliminated. SOLUTION: The lighting device includes a light source, and a control section to control the intensity of the light source. When the control section controls to change the intensity of the light source from the present intensity to a predetermined target intensity, in the early period for the change of the intensity, an adjusting period is provided to reduce the flickering generated by the change of the intensity of the light source.
