PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change the number of connected battery cells and efficiently arrange the battery cells in a limited space. SOLUTION: A battery system includes a first battery box 1 containing a plurality of battery cells 11, a second battery box 2 containing a plurality of battery cells 11, and a connecting box 3 for connecting the first battery box 1 and the second battery box 2, the connecting box 3 includes a first connecting circuit 31 for electrically connecting to the first battery box 1, a second connecting circuit 32 for electrically connecting to the second battery box 2, an integrated connecting circuit 33 for electrically connecting the first connecting circuit 31 and the second connecting circuit 32, and an output part 34 outputting electric power of the first battery box 1 and/or the second battery box 2 from the integrated connecting circuit 33 to the outside.
