<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power loads when simultaneously driving a plurality of solid-state imaging elements in parallel in a compound-eye imaging apparatus, to suppress the change or the like of a power supply voltage variation portion which occurs when a power supply voltage steeply changes, and to obtain high-quality picked-up image data. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When an imaging element drive part applies sweep-out transfer pulses, which are supplied to the respective solid-state imaging elements to sweep out unneeded charges of a charge transfer path, to the respective solid-state imaging elements after incident light from an object is received, the applying-start timing and applying-end timing of the sweep-out transfer pulses 31a and 31b, in only at least one solid-state imaging element, are shifted by only a prescribed period from the other solid-state imaging elements.
