<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a write-current of a write-element of a magnetic head without being affected by thermal expansion of the write-element, relating to a manufacturing method by which the write-current of the write-element of the magnetic head is adjusted and a table is made. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Write performed for an error rate measurement range of a magnetic disk is divided into a plurality of number of times and an interval time is provided for each write, consequently the write-element is cooled and thermal protrusion caused by the write-current is suppressed, a signal is written, a sector within the error rate measurement range is read, an error rate is measured, thereby adjusting the current to the optimum write-current. Change of thermal protrusion quantity caused by change of the write-current is suppressed, thereby: keeping uniform magnetic spacing; and optimizing the write-current independently of influence of spacing change.
