PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body assembling method and device capable of completing assembly of a vehicle body by welding all split members in one step while adopting an inside fixing system supporting each split member with welding tool from inside of the vehicle body scheduled to be completed. SOLUTION: When a plurality of split members (under body 8, front panel 9, right and left side members 10, 11, back panel 12, roof panel 13) constituting a cab 7 (vehicle body) are assembled and welded in a box shape, the welding tool 3 is cantilevered through a front wind opening 14 so as to arrange the welding tool 3 inside the cab 7, and each split members (the right side members 10, 11, the back panel 12, and the roof panel 13) are supported by the welding tool 3 and welded to each other, so as to remove the welding tool 3 through the front wind opening 14 after welding.
