PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shielded wire capable of preventing degradation of shielding performance and destruction of an insulator and sheath, making it less likely to bring about breaking of metal strands constituting a shield conductor, at repeated twistings. SOLUTION: The shielded wire 10 is provided with a conductor 12, an insulator 14 coated on an outer periphery of the conductor 12, a shield conductor 16 made up by winding metal strands 16a around an outer periphery of the insulator 14, and a sheath 18 coated on an outer periphery of the shield conductor 16. The insulator 14 and the sheath 18 are formed of an elastic material capable of being press-contracted, a buffer material is interposed between the insulator 14 and the shield conductor 16, as well as, between the shield conductor 16 and the sheath 18, or a clearance is provided between the insulator 14 and the shield conductor 16, as well as, between the shield conductor 16 and the sheath 18, so that a winding diameter of the metal strands 16a is so structured as to be freely expandable and contractible due to the twisting force acting thereon.
