PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing the productivity of printing from being lowered while properly removing the paper powder adhered to a conveyor belt. SOLUTION: This image forming device includes a receiving means 301 for receiving image formation data, a detection means 302 for detecting the receipt of the image formation data, an electrification means 303 for imparting charges to the conveyor belt which is moved circulatingly, an image formation means 304 for forming an image on a recording medium after the sheet-like recording medium is sucked to the conveyor belt using static current and conveyed on the conveyor belt after the detection by the detection means, a cleaning means 305 for cleaning the conveyor belt by bringing a contact member into contact with the surface of the conveyor belt and driving the conveyor belt while an electrification bias voltage to the electrification means is lowered, and an interruption means 306 for interrupting the cleaning treatment when the receipt of the image formation data is detected by the detection means while the cleaning treatment is performed by the cleaning means.
