<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the deformation of an orifice by optimizing an order of the machining of the orifice in a fuel injection valve in which a plurality of orifices are machined by pressing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method for pressing an orifice plate 15 including a plurality of concave parts 555 formed at a convex curved surface 30, and orifices 55, 56 formed at a bottom of a concave part 555. When there is an angle difference α between normal lines 55d, 56d at intersection points of the adjacent concave parts 555, 566 having a relation 0.5D≤L≤D between the minimum wall thickness L1 at a downstream of the concave part and the radial dimension D of the concave part and center axis lines 55i, 56i of the concave part of a curved surface 30 before the concave parts are formed, and the center axis lines 55i, 56i of the concave parts, the pressing order of the concave parts 555, 566 is determined based on a relation between the center axis lines 55i, 56i of the concave parts and the normal lines 55d, 56d, or the angle difference α.
