<p>Disclosed is a process for improving the efficiency of the fermentative production of an L-amino acid. Specifically disclosed is a process for producing an L-amino acid, which is characterized by comprising culturing a microorganism in which the activity of any one of the proteins [1] to [3] mentioned below is higher than that in the parent strain thereof in a culture medium to produce and accumulate the L-amino acid in the culture medium, and collecting the L-amino acid from the culture medium: [1] a protein which comprises an amino acid sequence depicted in any one of SEQ ID NO:2, SEQ ID NO:4, SEQ ID NO:6 and SEQ ID NO:8; [2] a protein which comprises an amino acid sequence produced by deleting, substituting or adding one or more amino acid residues in an amino acid sequence depicted in any one of SEQ ID NO:2, SEQ ID NO:4, SEQ ID NO:6 and SEQ ID NO:8 and which has an L-amino acid transport activity; and [3] a protein which comprises an amino acid sequence having a 80% or more homology with an amino acid sequence depicted in any one of SEQ ID NO:2, SEQ ID NO:4, SEQ ID NO:6 and SEQ ID NO:8 and which has an L-amino acid transport activity.</p> |
