PURPOSE: A thermal energy storage system of a receiver for a vehicle is provided to maintain cooling performance for a certain time even while a vehicle is in an idle stop state. CONSTITUTION: A thermal energy storage system of a receiver for a vehicle comprises a first circulating structure and an auxiliary circulating structure. The first circulating structure comprises a compressor(310), a condenser(320), an expansion valve(330), and an evaporator(340). The auxiliary circulating structure shares the evaporator, the compressor and the condenser with the first circulating structure and comprises a first cut-off valve(355), a receiver tank(353), an orifice(351), and a second cut-off valve(350). When the vehicle is in an idle stop state, the first and second cut-off valves are opened so that the refrigerant stored in the receiver tank flows into the evaporator of the first circulating structure and if the vehicle restarts, the first cut-off valve is closed and only the second cut-off valve is opened so that the refrigerant circulating the first circulating structure flows into the receiver tank to be stored.
