<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar apparatus and an ocean-radar observation apparatus which detect rapidly changing surface flow rates. <P>SOLUTION: A processing unit 25 calculates first amplitude data by azimuth resolution processing of a received data Dr; groups these first amplitude data, while overlapping each of n-cycle portions of the sweep cycles with an optional sweep cycle of less than n; calculates for each group, second amplitude data in a sweep cycle unit, which show the amplitude for each predetermined distance in the predetermined direction, by performing Fourier transformation on the first amplitude data in a sweep cycle unit; groups for every group of the second amplitude data, by rearranging each of the second amplitude data included in each of the groups for each of the predetermined distances, in the order of the sweep cycles; prepares the new second amplitude data by adding, for every group, predetermined number of zero-data showing zero-amplitude to the second amplitude data which is grouped by the rearrangement; and calculates Doppler spectra Ddp1, Ddp2 for each predetermined distance by performing Fourier transformation of the second amplitude data to which the zero-data is added. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
