PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always supply sufficient power to a motor-driven machine by preventing shortage of the residual capacity of a secondary battery. SOLUTION: A battery hybrid system has the motor-driven machine, a first battery, a second battery, an output changing portion for changing the output of the second battery, and a controller. The controller acquires the residual capacity of the first battery, and continuously changes the output of the second battery based on the residual capacity of the first battery. In the controller, the first and second batteries can be continuously simultaneously used irrespective of the running state of the electric vehicle. If a requested power for driving the motor-driven machine is large, the first and second batteries are simultaneously used, and if the requested power is small in such a case of stopping or constant-speed running, the second battery is mainly used to prolong a running distance of the electric vehicle.
