METHOD OF MANUFACTURING DISPLAY PANEL, AND SUBSTRATE FOR DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an organic EL (Electroluminescent) display panel attaining a favorable yield by a simple step. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the display panel includes the steps of: forming a substrate 60 for a display device by forming a plurality of organic electroluminescent elements 40 respectively including electrodes for connection with connection terminals 46a formed and having the same configuration on a first substrate 20 including a color filter 30 on which a plurality of filter elements are disposed to superpose on the respective filter elements; preparing a driving substrate 50 including a drive circuit for driving the plurality of organic electroluminescent elements and a connection part 52a conducting to the driving circuit; disposing a cladding member 74X on a surface of the substrate for the display device or the driving substrate to surround the plurality of organic electroluminescent elements with the substrate for the display device and the driving substrate clad; and cladding the substrate for the display device with the driving substrate such that the connection terminal is brought into abutment on the connection part.
