PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking device equipped with a heating means controlled by a control part, starting heating in the heating means following ON of electric supply to the control part by the operation of a heating/stopping manual operation part, and turning ON electric supply to the control part to carry out other desired control without the operation of the heating/stopping manual operation part. SOLUTION: The cooking device (gas cooking stove 1) is composed of: a heating part 2 having the heating means; the control part controlling stating of heating/adjustment of a heating amount/stopping of heating in the heating means; the heating/stopping manual operation part (an operation button 14) providing a command of starting of heating/stopping of heating of the heating means to the control part; and an operation part other than the heating/stopping manual operation part for providing a command to the control part. When the electric supply to the control part is OFF, and a predetermined operation part (for example, a container detection release operation part 16) other than the heating/stopping manual operation part is operated, electric supply to the control part is turned ON.
