PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the use frequency of a pump and appropriately respond to a braking request in a vehicular braking device including a masterback that generates a master cylinder pressure by doubling a brake operation force using a negative pressure, and a pump that generates a pump-up pressure. SOLUTION: When a target braking force becomes a threshold value or more, a fluid pressure supplied to a wheel cylinder is switched to a pump-up pressure from a master cylinder pressure so as to obtain a braking force corresponding to a boost ratio on and after a boosting force limit point of a masterback. When a negative pressure in a negative pressure chamber of the masterback is returned to a set negative pressure after the fluid pressure is switched to the pump-up pressure, the drive of the pump is stopped by changing the fluid pressure back to the master cylinder pressure so as to reduce power consumption of a motor driving the pump and avoid overheating of the motor.
