<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam generator capable of preventing overheating of oil. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When the oil 13 in a heating container 1 is kept in an overheated state, and a liquid level of the oil 13 rises, the hot oil 13 moves to a cooling spare container 2 side over a partitioning wall 3. When the oil 13 moves to the cooling spare container 2, the oil 13 not overheated much in the cooling spare container 2 is introduced into the heating container 1 through a through-hole 5 at a lower section of the partitioning wall 3 for that part, thus a temperature of the oil 13 in the heating container 1 can be lowered.
