<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation device capable of accurately excluding an object other than a hand when it is photographed by a relatively simple algorithm and substantially improving the specifying accuracy of a fingertip position. <P>SOLUTION: In the photographing range 102b of a photographing device, the hand of an operator is inserted in a predetermined insertion direction and a fingertip is positioned at the distal end of the insertion direction as well. Then, a distal end area ta in the insertion direction of a photographed image is extracted, and whether or not the distal end area ta indicates a true fingertip is determined depending on whether or not the width W of the distal end area ta is a reasonable value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
