<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection display device and a display method for the same capable of reducing the sense of afterimage when a quick motion picture is magnified and projected. <P>SOLUTION: The projection display device includes: a light source 2; a lighting optical system 3 using a light beam emitted from the light source 2 as a lighting light beam; liquid crystal display elements 4r, 4g, 4b optically modulating the lighting light beam incident based on an input signal and emitting it as a modulation light beam; a projection optical system 6 magnifying and projecting the modulation light beam optically modulated by the liquid crystal display elements 4r, 4g, 4b; and a light control means 7 provided on an optical path of the modulation light beam emitted from the projection optical system 6 and controlling the transmission of the modulation light beam on the basis of the control signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
