<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a model discriminating device for an electric power supply circuit for discriminating a model of an electric power supply unit without providing a dedicated port, to provide an image forming apparatus, and to provide a model discriminating method for the electric power supply circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The electric power supply circuit 50 has: input terminals 91, 93 to which control signals S1, S3 for controlling electric power to be supplied to electrical loads 33, 41 are input; and output terminals 95, 97 for outputting detection signals S2, S4 for electric power to be supplied according to the control signals to corresponding input terminals, and is configured in such a manner that at least one of the input terminal and output terminal is provided in a plurality of pieces and the correspondence relationship between the input terminal and the output terminal differs dependently on the model. The electric power supply circuit 50 executes: a read step for inputting a control signal to the input terminal to read a detection signal of the output terminal according to the input of the control signal; and a discrimination step for discriminating the model of the electric power supply circuit on the basis of the read result in the read step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
