PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for a coolant capable of automatically discharging the coolant in a cooling unit by applying a siphon phenomenon, and thus eliminating the need for cleaning a cooling coil and the like. SOLUTION: The cooling device for the coolant includes: an air suction port 34 which is located at least at a part of a coolant discharge pipe passage 33 and is opened at a position above a fluid level of a coolant tank 11; and a coolant auto-discharge pipe passage 35 whose one end is opened at a bottom of the cooling unit 21, the other end is opened in the coolant tank, and which automatically discharges the coolant in the cooling unit by the siphon phenomenon whenever a pump 32 is stopped.
