<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable correspondences such as the automatic setting of parameters for adjusting image qualities optimum for every country or every area without a consciousness by a user and the writing of set values in response to shipment destinations or the like. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 10 transmits the results of the measurements of a current position and the azimuth of a subject to a server 20 from a communication section 16 by a position/azimuth measurement section 15. The server 20 reads optimum camera parameters corresponding to the results of measurements received from a database, and response-transmits the camera parameters to the imaging apparatus 10. Accordingly, the imaging apparatus 10 receives the camera parameters transmitted from the server 20 by the communication section 16, and automatically down-loads the received camera parameters in a storage in a controller 13. The imaging apparatus 10 picks up images by automatically adjusting the optimum image qualities corresponding to the country and the area of the current position of the imaging apparatus 10 on the basis of the down-loaded camera parameters.
