PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear guide device, in which the operation for attaching/detaching a guide rail to/from a machine base can be performed without removing a holder from the guide rail. SOLUTION: The device includes the guide rail 2 detachably mounted on the machine base by a fixing bolt; a slider 4 which reciprocates along the guide rail 2; and a retainer 8 located between the guide rial 2 and the slider 4 to cover both sides and upper surface of the guide rail 2 over a predetermined range, the retainer holding a plurality of rolling elements rolling according to the movement of the slider 4, and reciprocating along the guide rail 2 according to the rolling of the rolling elements. A through-hole 20 enabling insertion of the fixing bolt to the guide rail side is formed in the retainer 8. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
