TIME SYNCHRONIZATION METHOD AND CORRESPONDING SYNCHRONIZATION SYSTEM FOR PASSIVE OPTICAL NETWORK SYSTEM

The invention discloses a time synchronization method and corresponding synchronization system for passive optical network(PON) system to solve the problem that the ONU could not be synchronized to the OLT accurately in the PON. The invention implements the time information synchronization between the ONU and the OLT via using the management channel. The time information includes the information transmission time delay between the ONU and the OLT and the sending time tag information of the time information. The invention avoids the technical defect of the unfixed delay for the upper layer protocol data packet in the GPON via using the character that the transmission of the PLOAM message or the OMCI message could not be burst in the PON, and ensures each and every ONU could be synchronized to the OLT accurately.
