The cage (1) has ring-shaped peripheral elements (3, 5) diverging from bar elements (7). A rolling body of a roller bearing is arranged between the bar elements. Each peripheral element includes two plastic liners (13, 15) corresponding to two ring-shaped retaining elements (9, 11) i.e. snap rings. The bar elements are fixed at the retaining elements by the plastic liners. Each bar element includes two grooves in which one of the retaining elements is engaged. Each plastic liner is formed as an injection-molded plastic part or a metal part.
