METHOD OF DISTRIBUTED PEER-DISCOVERY IN WIRELESS PEER TO PEER NETWORK

PURPOSE: A distribution type peer detecting method for multimedia data transmission in a wireless P2P network is provided to select a terminal which transmits multimedia data in consideration of idle buffer capacity and remaining battery capacity. CONSTITUTION: The second terminal determines backoff duration according to at least one among a signal to interference noise ratio of a request signal, idle play buffer capacity of the second terminal, and remaining battery capacity of the second terminal(520). The second terminal waits for the determined backoff duration(530,540,550). The second terminal transmits a response signal to the first terminal(560). The first terminal transmits a message requesting transmission of multimedia data to the second terminal transmitting an initially received response signal.
