<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist generator for allowing the scattering distance of mist to be generated from a mist generating mechanism to be equal to the scattering distance of a liquid agent electrostatically atomized by a liquid agent spraying mechanism. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The mist generator includes: the mist generating mechanism 12 for generating the mist M1 and spraying the mist toward a face F from a mist discharge port 26; and the liquid agent spraying mechanism 13 for electrostatically atomizing the liquid agent M2 and spraying the liquid agent toward the face F from a liquid agent spray port 35a. The liquid agent spraying mechanism 13 is configured to allow the liquid agent spray port 35a to be positioned on a side closer to the spraying direction of the mist discharge port 26 than to the mist discharge port 26 in a state where at least the liquid agent M2 is being sprayed.
