<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a private branch exchange apparatus capable of reserving or connecting an extension telephone call at a request for the extension telephone call passed through a limited number of leased lines. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An exchange 110 includes: a predetermined number of leased lines 300 for processing as an extension telephone call an external line telephone call from a mobile phone 1 to which a predetermined external line number is allocated; an acceptance means of accepting a request for an extension telephone call from the mobile phone 1 through a leased line 300; a determination means of determining the number of leased lines 300 needed for the extension telephone call; a connection means of connecting the extension telephone call when more than a determined number of leased lines 300 are free; a storage means of storing the number of the leased lines 300 needed for the request for the extension telephone call and the extension telephone call when not; and a detection means of detecting the number of free leased lines by monitoring use states of the leased lines 300, the connection request being reported to the originating terminal and terminating terminal of the extension telephone call based upon the stored request for the extension telephone call when it is determined that the number of free leased lines 300 becomes larger than the stored number.
