<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost and manhours for mounting an exhaust gas measuring sensor on an internal combustion engine. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This internal combustion engine includes the internal combustion engine body 10 including a cylinder head 13, an exhaust pipe 20 connected to the cylinder head 13 so that exhaust gas passes from the internal combustion engine body 10 therethrough, the sensor 30 for measuring the exhaust gas, and a ring-shaped member 40 held between the end of the exhaust pipe 20 on the side of the internal combustion engine body 10 and the cylinder head 13 and having an opening portion 41 through which the exhaust gas passes, the ring-shaped member 40 also having a sensor mounting hole 42 into which the sensor 30 is inserted.
